Built to Care. Designed to Last

Final Wrap:
Sublette County Hospital
Pinedale, WY

More than 15 years of planning led to the construction of the Sublette County Health Campus, a facility uniting long-term care, early childhood education, and emergency services under one roof. Built in one of the toughest climates in the U.S., this project demanded durable systems, phased delivery, and zero-margin execution.

Construction Ahead USA was proud to partner with Layton Construction to deliver a high-performance envelope designed for resilience, comfort, and long-term value.

Built for the Conditions

From start to finish, we delivered this project through a full Wyoming winter. Our crews worked under strict sequencing alongside multiple trades, staying on schedule while ensuring performance integrity. Every system installed had to stand up to freeze-thaw cycles, elevation extremes, and the daily demands of healthcare operations.

Why It Matters to GCs

In many areas of the USA, especially outside major construction corridors, labor availability—not just materials—can influence whether a project stays on schedule or within budget.

It's one thing to specify high-performance products; it's another to have crews who know how to install them correctly.

Construction Ahead USA provides that advantage.

  • Our in-house labor force is trained, deployable, and highly experienced in commercial exterior envelope work.

  • We focus on delivering performance in "soft" labor markets, rural, remote, or resource-limited areas where sourcing qualified workers is often the biggest challenge.

That's the key difference between a system that performs and one that gets value-engineered into mediocrity.

We don’t just arrive with tools; we arrive with foresight, proper sequencing, and crews who understand what’s at stake.

When it comes to value engineering, we emphasize solutions that matter: flexibility, durability, and BABA compliance. Owners today need predictable results and minimal volatility. That starts with the team on the wall, not just the specifications on paper.

Nichiha remains one of our trusted partners because their fiber cement systems perform reliably in real-world conditions and meet the technical demands of healthcare, education, and public works—without sacrificing design intent or long-term performance.

Our Role: System Installation with Integrity

Our team led the complete rainscreen installation, envelope detailing, and WRB integration behind Rmax Thermasheath® insulation. All work was delivered in line with Layton Construction’s milestone-driven construction plan.

Exterior Envelope Highlights

  • Fluid-Applied WRB over CertainTeed GlasRoc® (by others)
Reliable air and moisture protection as part of the total system.

  • ACM Panels (by others)
Aluminum composite accents at upper walls, canopies, and entries.

  • Rmax Thermasheath® Insulation
Continuous polyiso delivers thermal performance and long-term value.

  • Nichiha VintageWood Cedar
Commercial fiber cement cladding with a warm, woodgrain finish. Installed in a traditional layout and a distinctive "basket weave" pattern at the main entrance.

Local Support. National Reach.

Thanks to John Kralik, Nichiha’s Regional Manager for Wyoming, for consistent product and field support from start to finish.

We also greatly appreciate Layton Construction for leading with clarity, coordination, and accountability.
