SMET Construction Services has awarded our team the architectural wall panel scope on the office area of Edgewater Door's new building at 2455 Schultz Drive in Neenah.

The first Edgewater fiberglass door was assembled in an Oshkosh basement in 2002, and that door is still in service on a Wisconsin dairy farm today. The company now manufactures fiberglass door and frame systems in Neenah, in series that run from heavy duty through fire rated and hurricane rated. They are American products, made for the environments where wood and metal give up. Watching a fellow Wisconsin company go from a basement prototype to a new manufacturing plant brings a lot of pride to our team.

SMET Construction Services, a three-generation contractor out of De Pere, is delivering the building. This is our second project with them.

T.R. Karrels & Associates drew the plant with the offices facing Schultz Drive and put an architectural wall panel system from Nichiha on that front.

That is what this product does very well: it gives a building an identity, a front people recognize from the road, and for a growing company, that identity is earned. Installing it is our lane, one package from submittals through the finished wall.

A company whose first door is still in service after more than two decades knows what a standard is.
