Q9 SOFTWARE GLOBAL HEADQUARTERS
Corporate Office Construction
Batavia, IL - QT9 Software Global Headquarters
Corporate office construction in Batavia, IL for QT9 Software global headquarters, with exterior envelope installation by Construction Ahead USA built for performance, durability, and modern workplace environments.
A century-old factory becomes a global technology headquarters.
Few hundred-year-old buildings ever get a second hundred.
This one will.
A former factory in downtown Batavia, vacant after decades of service, is being rebuilt into the new global headquarters for QT9 Software. QT9 serves regulated manufacturers in life sciences, aerospace, medical device, biotechnology, and industrial markets.
We are honored to be on this team, carrying one scope on a project where most of the weight belongs to others.
The Project
Location: 125 Flinn Street, Batavia, Illinois
Building: Former factory, approximately 40,000 square feet
Era: 1920s, historic industrial architecture
New Use: Global headquarters for QT9 Software
The Team
General Contractor: Grand Contracting
Architect: Torch Architecture
Trade Partner: M3-Sixty (Dri-Design metal panel system)
Exterior Metal Panel Accent: Construction Ahead, USA
The Heavy Lifters
Torch Architecture drew the line between what was there and what comes next. Every reveal, every transition, every restoration decision started as a design choice from Torch. A design that honors a hundred years of history without apologizing for the next hundred takes discipline.
Grand Contracting is carrying the weight of the whole job. Schedule, budget, safety, coordination across every trade on site. Integrity is a word that gets used a lot in this industry. Grand has earned theirs.
By the time our scope shows up, the hard decisions have already been made. Our job is to honor them.
Our Scope
We are installing the metal panel accent on QT9 Batavia. Not the brick. Not the curtain wall. Not the interior build. The accent.
Matte black post-painted aluminum panels, set over a rainscreen assembly of Kingspan rigid insulation and ClarkDietrich Z-furring. The panels frame the new front entry curtain wall and finish the gable ends where new meets old.
Compared to the masons, the glaziers, and the interior trades transforming this building, installing accent panels is straightforward. We know this. That is why we are grateful to be on the team.
