What the shop drawings called for is on the wall now.
Tight schedule. The store never closed. So the work ran third shift, with the sign company right on our heels.
Sealed the weather barrier around 50-plus sign anchors. Then ran the Longboard.
Most crews need a babysitter when no one is watching. Ours do not.
The standard does not change when the lights go out.
Preconstruction only matters if it controls the field.
Every condition coordinated up front is locked into the work plan, documentation, and inspection path.
This is how brand refresh work gets protected before it hits the jobsite.
Gone before the doors opened. Checked, confirmed, turned over.
Wash, rinse, repeat. Different state, different schedule, same crew standard.

This is an existing store upgrade entering preconstruction while under live operations and tight brand standards.
There is no room for interpretation at this stage. The exterior scope must be locked before crews mobilize.
Why this scope was awarded to us:
Night work is part of the plan.
That only works when labor answers to one standard.
In-house crews allow installation discipline to be defined and enforced before the first shift starts.
Brand programs live and die on details.
Those details are being set now so crews do not make field calls on design intent later.
Assemblies are being coordinated to match approved systems, not field convenience.
Preconstruction only matters if it controls the field.
